The Pioneer plan is moving to Explorer: what you need to know

We're making a change to how free trading works on Cryptohopper, and we want to walk you through exactly what's happening, why, and what it means for your account.

In short: we're retiring the free Pioneer subscription. Everything Pioneer offered now moves into the Explorer plan. If you're a current Pioneer user, this affects you, so please read on.

What's changing

Until now, the Pioneer plan gave you free manual trading on all exchanges, 20 open positions per exchange, and Portfolio Management, with no payment details required. That free tier is being discontinued on June 18, 2026.

Going forward, everything Pioneer offered moves into the Explorer plan. Free manual trading on all exchanges now counts as a Portfolio Bot, and Explorer members can run up to 10 Portfolio Bots.

This means Explorer becomes the new home for the functionality you've been using, alongside the rest of what the plan already includes.

What this means for you

With Pioneer going away, the bots you currently run for free will no longer stay active unless you move to a paid plan. Nothing else about how Cryptohopper works is changing, but to keep your bots running, you'll need to be on Explorer or higher.

What you can still do

If you'd like to keep your bots running, you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time on our pricing page.

And to be completely clear on the most important point: nothing happens to your funds. They remain safely on your exchange and fully under your control. This change is purely about plan structure, not about your assets.

Explorer is a meaningful step up from what Pioneer offered. On top of moving your manual trading across as a Portfolio Bot, the plan includes:

• The power of 15 bots scanning the markets
• 2 event-based triggers

• Paper (simulated) trading
• Trading signals from Signalers
• 10 Portfolio Bots

For traders who want more, the Adventurer and Hero plans scale up open positions, faster strategy checks, more Portfolio Bots, and advanced features like AI strategies, Market Making, and Arbitrage.
