GLMR Staking and Mining

Moonbeam (GLMR) does not offer traditional mining as it operates on a Proof-of-Stake model rather than Proof-of-Work. Instead, GLMR token holders can participate in network security through staking. In Moonbeam's collator staking model, users can stake their GLMR tokens to collators, which are responsible for producing blocks and maintaining the network. Stakers receive rewards in GLMR tokens for their contribution to network security. The staking mechanism on Moonbeam follows a delegated approach where token holders can nominate collators who they believe will best serve the network, and rewards are distributed proportionally to stake amounts.

• Foundation treasury: Around 30% was reserved for ongoing development and ecosystem growth
• Team allocation: Approximately 20% was allocated to the founding team and subject to vesting periods
