Community Update August 2026: Faster Funding, Smarter Search, New Price Alerts

Welcome to this month's Community Update, where we walk you through the top user experience improvements we delivered based on your feedback.

This July, we added Apple Pay and Google Pay for instant funding, redesigned the Market tab and search experience to help you find assets more easily, and expanded price alerts to every cryptocurrency you follow.

Keep reading to see everything that changed since our last update.

TL;DR

  • You can now fund your account with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a debit or credit card, on top of your existing options.
  • The Market tab and search experience got a redesign, so finding assets takes less time.
  • Price and milestone alerts now cover every token you hold or follow, not just BTC and ETH.
  • We fixed a bank-linking bug, made Android search more reliable, and added passkey login.
  • Our Web3 Wallet, a self-custody option that puts you in control of your own assets, is now in early preview for select users.

Fund your account your way: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and card payments are here

You can now fund your Binance.US account with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a debit or credit card. These are the same convenient payment methods you already trust and use, now available on Binance.US too.

If you'd rather use a bank transfer (ACH) or wire instead, both options are still available. These new methods just give you flexible ways to fund your account and buy crypto.

See how to deposit with Apple Pay or Google Pay, or add and deposit with a debit or credit card.

Discover assets faster with a redesigned Market tab

We rebuilt the Market tab and search experience to cut the clutter and help you find the assets you're actually looking for.

The result is a cleaner browsing experience with less friction between you and the information you need. Whether you're checking a specific coin or exploring what's trending, it’s easier to find your next opportunity.

Get alerts when the market makes a significant move

Price and milestone alerts now cover every token in your portfolio and every asset you favorite, not just Bitcoin and Ethereum. You'll get notified when something you hold or follow makes a meaningful move, since crypto markets run 24/7 and it's hard to watch a chart the whole time.

Here's how to set up price alerts on the Binance.US app.

What else changed this month

  • Bank linking is more reliable. Some iOS users ran into errors and failed connections while linking a bank account for ACH deposits. We fixed the issue, and we've seen a 20% drop in support contacts about bank linking as a result.
  • Android search crashes are resolved. We identified and fixed a bug causing the Android app to crash while using search.
  • Passkey login is now available. Eligible users can add, manage, and log in with a passkey instead of relying only on SMS codes. Passkeys give you a modern, convenient way to access your account, and we expect more people to use them as time goes on.

An early look at our Web3 Wallet

Web3 Wallet is a self-custody option, so you're in control of your own assets. Instead of a seed phrase, your wallet uses keyless technology to protect your assets.

Your wallet is secured by separate key-shares split across your device, your personal cloud storage, and Binance.US. You need at least two of the three to access your wallet, and Binance.US only holds one, so no one at Binance.US can get into your wallet without you.

We're rolling this out gradually, testing performance and refining the experience before a wider release. Expect more features, UI updates, and new dApps as we keep improving it.

More upgrades coming to Binance.US

A few more updates are in progress:

  • On top of this month's fix, we're redesigning the bank linking process to cut down on errors.
  • We're adding better in-product messaging and disclosures about deposit holds, so you'll know exactly when your funds become available after a deposit.
  • For registration and verification, we're working to remove common roadblocks for new users.
  • We're rewriting the error messages you see when adding a debit card, so it's easier to spot what went wrong.
  • We're continuing to improve the quality and reliability of your portfolio performance data.

As always, thank you to everyone who left a review or flagged something that wasn't working. That's exactly how we know what to focus on next, so if there's something on your mind, we'd love to hear it.
