What is the Bullion Rush?
The Bullion Rush is a 30-day trading competition on Kraken Futures, running from August 5 through September 5, 2026. It covers two markets only, XAU Perp and XAG Perp, ranked together on a single leaderboard instead of split by asset. Eligible traders compete for a share of a $20,000 prize pool, paid in USDG.
How the competition works
Taking part comes down to three steps:
- Trade. From August 5 through September 5, trade XAU Perp, XAG Perp, or both on Kraken Futures.
- Climb the leaderboard. You’re ranked by Absolute Realized PnL on your closed positions. Open positions and account size don’t factor in.
- Win your share. When the competition closes, the $20,000 prize pool is distributed across the top 120 ranks.
Because rankings are based on absolute realized returns rather than account size, a smaller account that trades well can outrank a larger one that trades poorly. A separate sub-leaderboard also tracks traders placing their first futures trade during the competition, so newcomers are ranked against newcomers, not veterans.

The Bullion Rush pays out $20,000 in USDG, distributed across the top 120 ranks and weighted so the highest finishers earn the largest share. Prizes are paid within 30 days of the competition’s close. A minimum trade size applies to qualify for ranking; full details are in the official competition terms.

New to Kraken Futures? You can activate futures from the same Kraken account you already use for spot or margin. Once it’s active, trade XAU Perp or XAG Perp to join the leaderboard, plus the new-to-futures sub-leaderboard.
