Bitvavo is seeing millions in assets coming in from Binance customers

The development of clients switching trading platforms fits into the broader trend of consolidation that Bitvavo expects for the coming years. Earlier, Bitvavo took over the customer base of crypto broker LiteBit. As a registered crypto exchange and market leader in the Benelux, the Amsterdam trading platform Bitvavo benefits from these developments in the market.

According to Bitvavo, there are several reasons for this consolidation trend. Smaller players, like most recently LiteBit, can no longer cope with increasing competition and regulatory costs. At the same time, international parties, including Binance and OKX, are withdrawing from the market because they do not comply with European regulations.

Bitvavo also has an influx of customers from outside of The Netherlands. Customers are also spontaneously signing up from other European countries, such as Germany, France, and Spain.  Note that Bitvavo does not run a European campaign to recruit Binance customers.

Large influx is not a problem

Bitvavo has several license applications pending for various countries in Europe. Last year Bitvavo obtained a license for Italy. The Amsterdam-based trading platform looks forward to obtaining permission for other markets.

Despite the large influx of new customers, Bitvavo is able to onboard everyone smoothly within the regular period.
