Jager, First Binance Angel

Hear From Ribka, One Of Our Most Active Angels

As one of the largest crypto communities in the world, there’s no shortage of community activities and events at Binance. To ensure we bring high-quality experiences to the community, we often call upon our Binance Angels to render not just their assistance but also their event and campaign expertise. And if you’ve ever participated in a Binance activity, you’ve probably seen an Angel by the name of Ribka. Keep reading to learn more about her crypto journey and role as a Binance Angel.

How about a self-introduction!

My name is Ribka, and I’m one of the first Angels that started in 2018. I work as an accountant in my professional life, but I hope to bring blockchain to the traditional markets. My brothers were binancians and ETH maximalists before me. They introduced me to BNB and Binance, and once I heard CZ’s story, I was hooked on the greatest exchange of all time. As you can tell, I’m so proud of what Binance, CZ and He Yi have accomplished.

How did you get into the Binance Angel Program?

I was inspired to join the Angel program after seeing Bedo, the first Angel from Egypt. He’s a great video content creator and makes a lot of videos to promote Binance. When I saw him doing this, I wanted to be part of the Angel family and promote Binance in my own country, The Netherlands. Well, I applied and became an official Angel and in one month, I forwarded press documents to local news, hosted three meet-ups, and acted as a round table speaker for Binance at the next web with Flora Sun.

How do you feel as a member of Binance’s largest community volunteer program?

It feels amazing to be part of Binance and help users worldwide learn more about Binance and crypto.

Describe your thoughts on the importance of communities in crypto

Community on social media is very important. It's like a friendship/family, especially in the Binance English community, where we have users who’ve been there for years since we started the group and are still strong believers in Binance, BNB and crypto as a whole. Users are always sharing their experiences, the good and the bad; it’s all part of the crypto cycle. Everyone who loves talking about crypto should definitely join one of the Binance social communities.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I trade and check my portfolio often (haha). I am a skateboarder and a shark lover. I swim with sharks and dive to spot mantas when I can. I’m also a Cinema lover and, of course, I love eating good food, drinking bubble tea and traveling the world.

Speaking of interest, what kind of characteristics do you think an angel applicant should possess?

A Binance Angel should be a fighter and not a quitter. You’ve got to have long-term vision and the ability to lead and teach the community about Binance and how to be safe with crypto. You should be eager to share Binance news on social media/press and help with logistics and planning when there is a local meet-up. A Binance angel should be a crypto lover by heart and soul—preferably BNB lover—and should understand all the crypto exchange ins and outs.

What Do Binance Angels Do?

Binance Angels are passionate crypto users, community-builders, believers, leaders and much more! As an angel, you’ll act as a bridge between Binance and the users, addressing day-to-day questions and concerns and providing all-around support for the most passionate crypto community in the world.

Our Angel program is also an excellent way to learn and improve in many different areas. Beyond meeting people, you’ll learn to understand the community’s needs and how you can impact the blockchain industry.
