OKEx is a world-leading digital asset exchange, providing advanced financial services to traders globally by using blockchain technology

The following is a manual explaining how you can easily and quickly link your OKEx account to Cryptohopper.

Log in your account on OKEx

Select "API" in the upper right menu.

Click on "Apply for v3 API"

When you don't use Google Authenticator yet, you will be asked to install and configure it as an extra measure of safety.

Enter a name and check "Trade" in "Permissions".

Enter a passphrase, it's your API password. You need it to connect your API to Cryptohopper, so remember it or write somewhere safe.

Do not fill in any IP addresses as Cryptohopper uses many different IP addresses.

Enter your 2FA code and click on "Confirm".

To view your API Key data, click on "view" and enter your passphrase and 2FA code.

You now see both API and the API Secret Key that you need to connect your OKEx account to Cryptohopper. Before you can see your funds on Cryptohopper, be sure that you have funds on your trading account on OKEx

Link the API Keys to your Cryptohopper Account

If you would like to delete the API Key, click on "Delete" near your API and enter the 2FA code.

Free Pioneer subscription

This exchange can be connected to a hopper template without having a paid subscription. Your funds will be updated and it is possible to buy and sell manually. The Pioneer subscription will be automatically assigned to the hopper template when no paid subscription is being used.

Unable to see your exchange balance?

There are several things that prevents your hopper from synchronizing the funds of your exchange. In most cases, the browser that you use has ‘’auto-fill’’ enabled. This means that the browser fills in certain text fields themselves. There are three things you can do:

  • Disable autofill,
  • Use incognito mode of your browser
  • Use a browser that you don’t use often.
Another thing that could prevent your hopper from synchronizing are password managers, disable this for Cryptohopper.

That's it! Check our other tutorials/Academy and the community forum where users share their Hopper settings. If you want more information about this subject, watch our Cryptohopper Academy video about this subject.
