Kraken Institutional partners with Upshift to bring customers custom institutional vaults
TL;DR
Kraken Institutional has partnered with Upshift, a multi-chain vault infrastructure provider, to launch permissioned, custom institutional vaults accessible directly through Kraken’s qualified custody solution.
Eligible clients can deploy assets into vetted onchain yield strategies without opening separate wallets or onboarding additional providers.
Vault positions are represented by receipt tokens held in segregated Kraken custody and valued at redeemable amount, with no pooling or rehypothecation.
The integration combines qualified custody, prime brokerage, liquidity and execution, and onchain yield into a single institutional relationship.
We’ve partnered with Upshift, a multi-chain, multi-protocol vault infrastructure provider that raised a $10 million Series A led by Dragonfly in March 2025, to bring permissioned, custom vaults directly into the Kraken Institutional experience.

Your Kraken balance, ready to spend: the Kraken Card is here
TL;DR
The Kraken Card connects a customer’s crypto and cash balances to everyday spending and is live now for eligible customers in the UK and EEA.
The card pays up to 2% cashback in Bitcoin, euros, or pounds, with no Kraken transaction or ATM fees.
It lets cardholders spend from more than 600+ supported crypto and cash currencies, converted in near real-time at the moment of purchase, anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
Customers can order their card in the Kraken app, with card management handled in the Krak global money app using the same Kraken login.
Right now, your savings probably sit in one account, your investments in another, and your spending money somewhere else entirely. That’s several financial institutions to juggle, a different login for each, and a set of balances you can’t see in one place.
