Thanks to the endless efforts of our global team, many improvements were made in the system and we have increased the new system’s order matching speed by 30x and TPS by 10x. Besides, the latency has been reduced by 5x. We also have a new API endpoint that has more comprehensive features and greatly reduces latency, which will benefit market makers as well as institutional and professional traders, who will also enjoy improved liquidity.
Apart from its speed, Poloniex’s new trading system also takes its stability to the next level with higher fault tolerance by adopting a microservice architecture and clustered deployment, and support service auto scaling if traffic increases significantly. In a nutshell, the upgrades significantly improve its capacity to handle traffic spikes to allow users to trade 24/7 without disruption.
For usability, the system’s UX and UI have also been optimized with more features including a market order, stop-market order, and an enhanced candlestick chart, all of which allow retail and professional traders to keep abreast of market trends to set out their investment strategies accordingly.
