Crypto Market Overview
BTC at all-time high, altcoins surge
And just like that, Bitcoin reached a new all-time peak this week. On Tuesday, BTC $19,881 on Binance, surpassing all previous highs, and has since traded between $18,500 and $19,500 for the rest of the week.
The altcoins market followed suit with their own double-digit surges over the week. On Monday, Ethereum broke past $600 for the first time since May 2018 and has gone on to hit as high as $627 on Tuesday, before trading between $590 and $620 for the rest of the week. Meanwhile, BNB rose from $27.50 on Saturday to as high as $31.70 on Tuesday, before showing sideways market action ranging from $29.50 to $30.50 following that weekly peak.
With Bitcoinâs rise, the cryptocurrency industryâs total market capitalization rose from $505 billion to as high as $589 billion the week at $499 billion, before ending the week at $565 billion.
