# Resend activation

`POST https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/user/resendactivation`

Part of [Users](https://www.cryptohopper.com/api-documentation/api-reference/users.md) in the Cryptohopper API reference.

Sends the activation email again for an account that is not activated yet. Needs no access token.

At most 2 requests per email address per 30 seconds; more return HTTP 429. HTTP 417 is returned when no inactive account matches the email and username, including when the account is already activated.

## Headers

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `email` | string | yes | Email address of the account. |
| `username` | string | yes | Username of the account. |

## Example request

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/user/resendactivation" \
  -H "access-token: YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN" \
  -H "email: EMAIL" \
  -H "username: USERNAME"
```

## Response

Example response (illustrative values):

```json
{
    "data": "Activation email has been resend."
}
```

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
