# Set default hopper

`PATCH https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/hopper/{id}/setdefaulthopper`

Part of [Hoppers](https://www.cryptohopper.com/api-documentation/api-reference/hoppers.md) in the Cryptohopper API reference.

Makes this hopper the user's default hopper and returns the user's hoppers.

OAuth scope: `read`, `manage`

The response is the same list as GET /hopper, with every field of each hopper; the example is shortened.

## Headers

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `access-token` | string | yes | The OAuth access token of the user. |

## Path parameters

## Example request

```bash
curl -X PATCH "https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/hopper/HOPPER_ID/setdefaulthopper" \
```

## Response

Example response (illustrative values):

```json
{
    "data": {
        "hoppers": [
            {
                "id": "123456",
                "open_positions_count": "3",
                "name": "My BTC bot",
                "exchange": "binance",
                "set_default": "1",
            }
        ]
    }
}
```

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
