# Get trading pair

`GET https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/exchange/{exchange}/getmarket`

Returns the market pair for a currency and quote currency, in the exchange's own pair format. Returns 404 when that market does not exist.

No access token needed.

## Path parameters

| `exchange` | string | yes | Exchange key as returned by Get available exchanges, for example binance or kucoin. Case insensitive. |

## Query parameters

| `base_currency` | string | yes | Quote currency, for example BTC. Case insensitive. |

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
