# Get market cap overview

`GET https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/exchange/marketcap`

Returns up to 20 currencies ordered by market cap rank, each with its fear and greed label. Also returns the total market cap, the total 24h volume and the average fear and greed score of all tracked currencies.

OAuth scope: `read`

The offset is (page - 1) * total, but every response holds up to 20 currencies. Send total=20 to page through the list.

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
