# Get IP addresses to whitelist

`GET https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/exchange/{exchange}/ipwhitelist`

Part of [Exchanges](https://www.cryptohopper.com/api-documentation/api-reference/exchanges.md) in the Cryptohopper API reference.

Returns the Cryptohopper IP addresses to add to the IP whitelist of your API key on an exchange. If your account has no IP group on that exchange yet, this call reserves one.

OAuth scope: `read`

copy_ip_addresses is formatted the way the exchange's whitelist field expects. When no IP addresses apply, the strings are empty and total is 0.

## Headers

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `access-token` | string | yes | The OAuth access token of the user. |

## Path parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `exchange` | string | yes | Exchange key as returned by Get available exchanges, for example binance or kucoin. Case insensitive. An unknown key is ignored. |

## Example request

```bash
curl "https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/exchange/EXCHANGE/ipwhitelist" \
  -H "access-token: YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN"
```

## Response

Example response (illustrative values):

```json
{
    "data": {
        "ip_addresses": "203.0.113.10 203.0.113.11",
        "total": 2,
        "copy_ip_addresses": "203.0.113.10,203.0.113.11",
        "show_ip_addresses": "203.0.113.10, 203.0.113.11"
    }
}
```

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
