# List currencies by market cap

`GET https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/exchange/currencies`

Part of [Exchanges](https://www.cryptohopper.com/api-documentation/api-reference/exchanges.md) in the Cryptohopper API reference.

Returns market data for currencies ordered by market cap rank: price, 24h high, low and change, market cap, volume and a weekly price series. Also returns the total market cap and 24h volume of all tracked currencies.

OAuth scope: `read`

total is the number of currencies in this response, not the number of tracked currencies.

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
