# Get base currencies from exchange

`GET https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/exchange/{exchange}/basecurrencies`

Returns the quote currencies of an exchange, each with the currencies you can trade against it. Cryptohopper calls the quote currency (USDT in BTC/USDT) the base currency.

No access token needed.

## Path parameters

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
