# Get a single currency

`GET https://api.cryptohopper.com/v1/exchange/{exchange}/currency`

Part of [Exchanges](https://www.cryptohopper.com/api-documentation/api-reference/exchanges.md) in the Cryptohopper API reference.

Returns the name of one currency in the same format as Get available currencies. It does not check whether the exchange lists that currency.

No access token needed.

## Path parameters

Status codes: 200. Errors return JSON with `status`, `error` and `message`, plus a numeric `code` when the error comes from the API itself rather than the gateway.
